Neighbourhood Flowers - Chapter 1

A girl is looking out from the window of the campus library. "What a hot autumn." she said as she is looking at other students who are still leisurely wearing hot pants and short skirts, walking around the campus. It is already entering autumn season, yet the weather is still hot like it is in summer.
 
She looked at her legs as she is wearing her favorite black sweat pant today. Sometimes it could be a baggy jeans or khakis pants. Coupled with a unisex collared t-shirt. Showing how she is lack in fashion sense compared to those girls out there.
 
"So what?" dissing her inner thoughts while laying her head on her right arms. Trying to sleep for a few minutes before her next class.
 
It is something that she should not be bothered anyway. Those are the clothes that she is comfortable to be with at the first place.
 
"Kang Sora! They are fighting again!" Kim Bomi came rushing towards Sora and pulling her arms asking her to join in defending their friends that has been involved in a quarrel.
 
Sora looked at her friend sleepily. "Don't you guys have better things to do?" She is not interested in using her fist today. She just wanted to have a peaceful rest.
 
"They started it first. You know Hyorin is pretty short tempered when it comes to those guys."
 
She closed her eyes. "Just finish what you guys has started. Do not disturb me please." Sora could not be bothered with those fight. She feels tired being involved with it.
 
"Sora yaaa..." Bomi trying hard to pull her from the seat, but she would not budge.
 
"There's a fight at the water park! I heard Min Hyorin is hurt!" A student shouted in the library.
 
Sora straightaway looked at Kim Bomi. "She's hurt??"
 
"Eo..."
 
Immediately she gets up. "You should have told me earlier!" She rushes to the water park.
 
"You should have come with me when I asked you earlier. Haishh.." Bomi nags as she follows her from behind.
 
As they arrived at the park crowded by students that are watching the fights, Sora and Bomi directly runs to their friends that is tired from fighting. "Min Hyorin! Park Jinjoo! Are you guys okay?"
 
Sora looked at Hyorin's bleeding lips and Jinjoo's bruised face.
 
“We’re okay..” Jinjoo replied.
 
"The tomboy has come finally." Lee Kwangsoo looked at all four of them as he is trying to catch his breath after a good fight.
 
Lim Juhwan looked at Kang Sora and Kim Bomi who are just arrived, their target is now complete. He smirks.
 
Jo Insung sneered. "It’s time to engage the full force..” He said to his friends waiting to use his hidden card.
 
"Don't you guys have better things to do? Fighting girls out of all things?" Sora looked at them. Angry.
 
"Do you even consider yourself a girl Kang Sora?" Lim Juhwan appeared. He is the leader of them all. He is the one that declared war between the two groups.
 
"Ya Lim Juhwan! You better watch your words you son of a bitch!" Hyorin sharply stares at him.
 
"Oww.. I think I just peed in my pants." Insung mocked as they laughed to his joke.
 
Song Joongki looked at the girls. "It would be easier if you guys just retreat and stop meddling in our business." He said to them. Trying to give them a better solution before things get messier.
 
"We will stop meddling in your business if you stop bullying those people around. Why do you always bullying others when they never disturb you guys?" Jinjoo looked at them. Those guys really trying to get into their nerve this time.
 
"Why does that matter to you anyway?" dissed Kwangsoo.
 
Sora stood silently looking at them. It has been 3 years that this fight been going on. Started when they joined National Seoul University or better known as NSU together with these rich folks who likes to pick up a fight with the weak people surrounding them wanting to show their power and authority. It is also starting then Sora and her friends got up to fight them and defend those people.
 
"Let us go. There's no use in fighting them." Bomi said as she helped Jinjoo and Hyorin.
 
"Did you think you can escape easily?" Insung cynically asked. "Not too fast missy.." He added before suddenly a bunch of men wearing black shirts are surrounding them.
 
Sora turns to look at those boys. "I never thought you are this coward. Hiring people to beat us? Seriously?" She sneered.
 
"Ya Kang Sora! Do you really wish to die today?" Kwangsoo stares at her.
 
Kang Sora looked at him with a smirk. "If you are really confident that you can do so, by all mean Mr. giraffe."
 
Kwangsoo laughed. "You really have big guts."
 
"Sora ya.. There are too much of them! Just admit defeat." Hyorin trying to pull Sora out from getting beaten. Though Sora is holding double black belt in Taekwondo, Judo, and other martial arts, handling 20 guys strength at a time could bring harm to her too.
 
This is not really a fight that she could handle.
 
"Of course. Just be a coward and admit defeat." Mockingly Juhwan said to Sora as he listens to their conversation.
 
Sora turned to Hyorin. "You and Jinjoo take a rest. Let me and Bomi settle this." She is not a person who will admit defeat easily. 
 
"Yaa Kang Sora.. Don’t be stubborn." Jinjoo looked at their friends. Worried. She did not have a good feeling about this.
 
Sora smirked. “You’ve started this. So, let us finish it once and for all..”
 
Bomi nodded. "Believe in us." she smiled. Her skills in Taekwondo and Judo might not be as perfect as Sora. But she is confident with it since Sora is the one who is teaching her.
 
"They must be watching too many dramas." Kwangsoo sneered.
 
Sora carefully looked at a bunch of guys in front of her while keeping her feet firmly on the ground, being on guard before they started to attack.
 
"What are you waiting for? Smash them all!" Insung instructed.
 
"Smash them!" the guys shouted as they are bashing towards Kang Sora and Kim Bomi but one by one those hired guys being knocked down. Some even passed out.
 
"Is this the best you guys can do?!" Sora is challenging them while trying hard to catch up her breath.
 
"Are you still ok?" Bomi is asking Sora while breathing like a panting dog.
 
"I am.” She looked at Bomi. “You?"
 
"Much more energy left." she replied with a wink.
 
Sora smiled as she took a glance at the four cowards who keep watching them from the side.
 
"Kang Sora!" Hyorin shouted as a guy is coming towards her with a piece of wood on his hand, aiming to hit her head.
 
Crack! The wood split into two as Sora impulsively block it with both of her hands. Firm.
 
That guy stopped and starred at the tattoo on her right wrist. Stunned. "Gongju! We're truly sorry!" He immediately bowed towards her as he pulled his friends to bowed too before running away.
 
Sora looked at them. “What’s that for?” she is weird as she looked at them running away.
"What is it?" She thought to herself. "Why did those guys run away abruptly like that?" It is as if they are seeing a ghost or a monster upon themselves.
 
Sora tried to put down her arms, but it feels a bit numb after taking that hard hit.
 
"Gwenchana?" Jinjoo runs towards her. Sora took quite a blow just now. It is impossible for her to be okay with it.
 
"Eo. I don't think it’s broke." she grinned to avoid her friends worry about her.
 
"Ya losers! Are you satisfied now??!!!" Min Hyorin looked at Lim Juhwan, Song Joongki, Jo Insung and Lee Kwangsoo.
 
A group that people called as The Chaebols. A group that they considered as rich bullies that loves to control things with money. Just like what they did just now.
 
"Let's go..." Juhwan sighed as they walked away from those girls.
 
"This is definitely a humiliation. I won't let those girls get away with it." He thought to himself while holding tight his fist.
 
"Ya Jo Insung! Where did you get those losers? How can they get defeated by girls like that?" Kwangsoo looked at Insung. He is hoping for some victory today actually.
 
Insung crossed his arms. Thinking. "It seems like those guys are running away after seeing something. isn't it?" Their reaction is a bit overwhelming earlier. Seems like they have seen something shocking.
 
Joongki turned to look at those girls helping each other up especially at Kang Sora who got hit earlier. "It’s not necessary to get to this extend to prove we're powerful than them though." coldly he is passing his opinion.
 
"I'm seriously thinking of killing them. Especially Min Hyorin. That bitch really knows how to get people flared up with anger." Insung replied.
 
"Eyy.. you can't be.." Kwangsoo surprised hearing to Insung replied. "Right?" He then looked at Juhwan. Wanting to know their leader’s thought about it.
 
Juhwan looked at Kwangsoo. "I want them to suffer badly.." he replied seriously. The defeat just now is embarrassing him. Even with hired guys, they still cannot win over those girls. They need to come out with a better strategy next time.
 
Joongki looked at Juhwan as he replied to Kwangsoo. Seems that this fight has already been out of context. His friends are getting impulsive with the idea to win over their classic enemy.

"Are you okay?" Park Haejin approaches his girlfriend, Park Jinjoo and looked at her other friends too. He could have joined and protected them earlier, but he knows he would be scolded off if he enters the fight. These girls are well known with their independence and bold character.
 
"Sora is getting hit badly.." Jinjoo look at Sora. "Let’s go to the hospital, shall we?" she asked.
 
Sora caresses her arms while looking at the tattoo in her wrist. "Is it because of this?" She thought to herself. It is a tattoo that she got since she was a little kid. A present from her dad's friend when they live in Japan last time.
 
"Ya!" Hyorin flicked Sora's head. "What are you thinking? Are you okay?" She has been worried about her.
 
"That’s hurt.." she grimace as she tried to lift her right arm.
 
"Let's go to the hospital.." Haejin ask again as he looked at those girls with their injuries. Especially Kang Sora with her being hit hard earlier. "I'll send you guys.."
 
Bomi smiled looking at Haejin. "How lucky of you to meet such a perfect boyfriend Park Jinjoo.."
 
Hyorin flicked at Bomi's head. "You had Lee Jongsuk for yourself too. Isn't that enough?"
 
Bomi's boyfriend is really a pleasure to one's eyes. Having the height, look and body of a model with beautiful features like a celebrity. Same as Park Haejin.
 
"That good for nothing boyfriend.." Bomi is clenching her teeth.
 
Sora smiled looking at them. Among four of them, only her and Min Hyorin that are still single. Though she knows Min Hyorin chooses to stay single because of her.
 
"I'm asking this once again.." Haejin sighed. "Shall we go to the hospital now?" Haejin asked Kang Sora. He knows her opinion matters the most among her friends. The others would follow if she decided to do it. Even though they never declared her as a leader of the group, but they respected her like one.
 
Sora smiled looking at Haejin as he need to handle four different types of behavior every time. "Arasso.. let us go.." She holds onto Park Jinjoo.
 
"Your feet hurts too?" Jinjoo looked at her.
 
Sora smiled. "A little bit.."
 
"This stupid girl.. Stop pretending so tough next time!" Jinjoo pokes her head.
 
Hyorin and Bomi laughed looking at their best friends. Through thin or thick, they promised to stay with each other.

Neighbourhood Flowers

Hi fellow readers! I was supposed to be on a short hiatus but I could not stop my new idea from flowing. Therefore i'm coming out with this new one called "Neighbourhood Sisters". Yes, that neighbourhood sounds familiar right? I'm hoping for Sora to accept NLJDH offers and to have a better character in Season 2. But nevertheless, this story is not about lawyers.

Bridesmaid - Chapter 19 (Finale)

"Can you not go? Who went for a business trip 3 days before their wedding?" Yeon Seok looked at Sora. Their wedding is just around the corner but Sora is still with her commitment towards the company.

"I can't avoid it.. I'm sorry.. oppa.."

Yeon Seok looked at her. She knows how to use his weakness at times like this. "Where is Ho Jun though? He quit my company to help ease your burden.." he's pulling his lips. He's not satisfy with this. No.. that "oppa" spell won't work here. Right now. His heart shouldn't waver over it. He need to stay firm.

Sora hold his arms. "Ho Jun oppa will be away for Canada business.. Grandma is venturing like crazy now.. Nobody can stop her.." she complaints too sometimes but her grandma is just taking an opportunity where she herself could be doing as well. Especially with their company crisis has been lifted after the merging with WooJin, their market shares and outlook is on the hike lately.

She looked at Yeon Seok still trying to get his agreement. Her travel to London to acquire some shares from London Marriot Hotel is necessary to ensure the deal is happening. This is among the biggest investment that she's going to make if the agreement pull off.

"What can I do to make this up?" Sora look for a deal.

Yeon Seok silent. Sora is trying to handle this matter like how she's been dealing with a business.

"Oppa..."

Yeom Seok look at her, thinking for an answer.

"It's just 2 days trip oppa.. I'll be here on the day of our wedding.."

"Hmm.." Yeon Seok hugs his biceps.

Sora smiled. Its seems like he's going to let her go. His body language is saying so.

"How about take a 2 weeks leave right after our wedding.."

"2 weeks? Where are we going?"

"I just want to be with you at home for the whole 2 weeks.." he winked. Away from their hectic working schedule.

"Eyyy.. You bluff.. Is that all our honeymoon trip going to be?" She's been expecting something great from Yeon Seok.

Yeon Seok smirked. "So are you willing or not?"

"I need to ask grandma's opinion.."

"Grandma should give it at least.. Its not that long.." Yeon Seok grab her by her waist and pull her nearer to him. "Its for her future great-grandchildren.." Yeon Seok winked.

Sora laughed with Yeon Seok's advance thinking.

"Ehemm.." Ho Jun clearing his throat. "What are you doing in front of the house? Why don't you come in?" he looked at Yeon Seok's hand is still grasping Sora's waist tightly. They're being blunt with their feelings out in the open nowadays.

"Taking some fresh air.. hyeongnim~~.." Yeon Seok teases.

"Aigoo aigoo.." Ho Jun walk nearer to them. "We're from the same age you punk.." he hit Yeon Seok's head.

Sora chuckles looking at them.

"Did you just laugh at me?" Yeon Seok move his face closer to Sora's.

"Haipp.." Ho Jun parting them away. "Save that for your wedding night.."

Yeon Seok gave an unsatisfied look at Ho Jun. "You.. why did you overwork my fiancee still when you have quit from our company?"

Ho Jun raised his shoulder. "Your fiancee love her work more than you.."

Sora flinched. "Oppa!" She hit his shoulder.

"What did you guys doing here?" Kang Tae Yoon looked at Kang Sora, she seems happier in front of them rather than in front of him, her father. 

"You just came back from the office father?" Yeon Seok greeted as he slightly bowed to him. His soon to be father in law.

"Umm.." he smiled. "How was the preparation going?" He awkwardly ask. After the incident that happened a few weeks ago, it's a bit awkward for him to have a casual conversation with his future son-in-law eventhough he knew Yeon Seok is making an effort to ignore it.

"Everything is going well father.." Yeon Seok replied. He glanced at Sora who didn't even look at Kang Tae Yoon.

"Honey, you're back.." Han Ye Seul came to the gate to greet her husband as usual. "Oh? What is the occasion that all of you are here?" She got surprised seeing Sora, Yeon Seok and Ho Jun is outside.

"I'm going in first.." Ho Jun said as he walked into the house. The wind tend to get chilly nowadayd. Especially when facing the cold relationship between Sora and her father. He refuse to involved in it anymore. Sora just too stubborn.

"I'm going in too.." Kang Tae Yoon said as Han Ye Seul is following him.

Yeon Seok looked at Sora who has been silent since earlier. "What are you thinking?" He asked.

"Nothing.." Sora slightly smiled. "I need to pack for my travel.."

Yeon Seok sighed. He has no choice other that letting her go on her scheduled business trip. "What am I going to do this 2 days then? I'll miss you.."

Sora looked at him. "You're doing it again.." She knew Yeon Seok is purposely making it hard for her to go.

Yeon Seok sighed. "Arasso.. I'll send you to the airport tomorrow ok?" 

Sora happily nodded. Yeon Seok is giving his permission at last. "Thank you!" She give him a peck on his cheek.

"About your offer earlier.. its still valid right?" he looked at her.

Sora smiled. "You have a good memory.. what do I need to do to make this up?"

"Just one thing.." he said.

"What is it? I'll do anything.." happily paying attention to his words.

Yeon Seok looked at her. The topic will not be her favourite of course. "Reconcile with your dad and stepmom.." he said.

Sora looked at him. Surprised with the request. Its the toughest request she had thus far. A request that she might not be able to fulfill.

"Can you at least try? You can't be mad at your dad forever.." Yeon Seok ask again.

Sora sighed. No she didn't have a definite answer to that. Her hatred is too big for her to do it. So does her stubborn head.

Yeon Seok grab Sora's waist to lean closer to him. He knows the subject is not something to Sora favour. "Nevermind.. I know it might take some time." He hug her. Perhaps its not the time to brought it up yet. "I love you for who you are.. So I'm sure your dad will too.."

Sora keep her silence. Her memory of her mom and her dad keep flashing into her mind. They were so happy before. But everything vanished after her mom passed away due to cancer and Tae Yoon got married a month after her mom death like it was never impacted him.

Yeon Seok looked at Sora who still keeping her silence. "Say something Kang Sora.. you make me feel bad for bringing that up.."

Sora looked at him and eventually smiled. "I'm okay.. Its getting late. You should go home now.."

He caresses her lips. "I'm dying to kiss you now.. but I'll save it for our wedding.."

Sora smiled. "You and your sweet words.."

Yeon Seok kissed her forehead before letting her go. "Have a good rest okay.. I'll come pick you up tomorrow morning.."

"Arasso.." She waves to Yeon Seok as he drives away in his Black Range Rover sport.

"Is everything prepared?" Hye Ri come to get Sora in the dressing room. She seems out of breadth. Perhaps handling this wedding is too much for her.

"Unnie.. sit down.." Sora pull her to take a seat. "The wedding will happen perfectly even without you running around." Sora is calming her sister in law. She knew their wedding planner and event manager from knows what they are doing. Its already been their daily routine in managing events as big as this one.

"I think I just got a panic attack.." Hye Ri grinned. Being given such task makes her wanted to do her best especially when the task was assigned by their grandmother herself.

Sora smiled. "Take it easy unnie.." she caresses Hyeri's hand.

"Arasso.." she got up heading to the door.

"I've told you to stop running around.." Sora sighed.

"I need to check on something before I forgot.." Hyeri grinned. "Ah right.. the wedding will starts in 30minutes. Ho Jun oppa will be here soon.." Ho Jun was assigned the task to walk Kang Sora on the aisle.

"Unnie.." she called before Hye Ri walk out. 

"Hmm?"

"About that.." She's fidgeting. "Can I have my dad to walk with me?"

Hye Ri looked at Sora surprised. "Of course you can! I'll go look for your dad now.."

"Thank you unnie.." She strongly exhale out of relief. She's determined to start her new life with a new chapter of relationship with people surrounding her. She will.

Tae Yoon looked at Sora holding his arms firmly. "Are you nervous?" He's been thankful that Sora is giving him the honor to walk her for the wedding.

"Eo.." slowly she nodded. Though she has been through everything with Yeon Seok, walking on the aisle and to officially become his wife is still giving her a butterfly in the stomach.

"You'll be a good wife.. don't worry.."Tae Yoon cupped her hand. "Thank you for giving me this opportunity to walk you on the aisle Sora.."

Sora looked at her dad. "I'm sorry dad.. for being such a stubborn daughter.." her eyes started to fills with tears.

"Syhh.." He smiled. "I'm sorry for not being able to understand my daughter better.."

"We're going to start in one minute sir.." The event manager handover a full bouquet of silky white calla lilies that goes really well with Sora's ivory wedding dress. 

"You look beautiful my daughter.. you look just like your mom.." his eyes got teary. On a day like this, he misses his deceased wife. The woman that he will always keep in his heart.

"Dad..." Sora tears falling down. Its the first time she saw her dad's real feelings towards her mom. He must have kept it in his heart all this while. All of his sadness.

Tae Yoon cupped his daughter cheek and wipe off her tears. "Your mom will be proud watching from heaven.." He caresses her shoulder to calm her down. To calm him down as well. "Now smile.. this is supposed to be your happiest day.."

Sora nodded as she took a deep breadth. Trying to remain as calm as possible. She hugged her dad. "Thank you for everything dad.."

He smiled and kissed Sora's forehead before walk her on the aisle, to hand her over to Yeon Seok. His trustful son-in-law.

Yeon Seok looked at his bride walking beautifully besides her father. He smiled. Unexpectedly Sora is considering what he is saying. She definitely changes a lot lately. She's no more the egois and hard headed Sora that everybody knows. "She is my Sora now.." he thought to himself.

"Take care of our precious jewel with graceful and passion.." Kang Tae Yoon give Sora's hand to the groom.

"I will take care of her as I take care of my life father.." Yeon Seok replied.

Tae Yoon nodded as he look on the floor. Hiding his tears as he gave Sora to Yeon Seok.

Yeon Seok looked at his beautiful bride who was once his maid. "I'm proud of you Kang Sora.." He whispered to her. Finally Sora and her dad is making peace.

Sora smiled. Its all thanks to Yeon Seok who woke her up. "Thank you" She said to him back.

Sora is sipping her morning tea over the view of Loch Duich from a cottage in Scotland Highland. The environment is so peaceful in the early of the Autumn that the morning crisp started to get to her bones.

"You wake-up early.. my wife" Yeon Seok come with a warm and cozy long robe for her. "Its cold now, why did you go out only with your sleepwear?" Looking at her in a soft pink silk sleepwear by Victoria Secret. A real pleasure for his eyes, but not something to wear out in the open during autumn day like this.

"I know you'll be coming with this.." she wears the long robe that Yeon Seok gave and hug her waist. 

Yeon Seok smiles as he hug her from the back. "At last we manage to have our super delayed honeymoon.." Enjoying their honeymoon holiday after delaying it for a year now. Thanks to both of their schedule.

Sora smiled hearing to his comment. "Its your fault to begin with.." she jokes. "Why did you join WooJin when you are supposed to leave it to Yi Soo.." referring to Yeon Seok's decision to join WooJin right after their wedding and help his grandfather to manage their family business.

"As much as you love your family.. I also love them too.." he kissed his bride face. Thanking her for understanding his decision. As how he decides to understand hers too.

Sora turn to him. "Where should we go today?"

"Hmm.." Yeon Seok looked at her. "I want to spend time in the hotel though.."

"Yeobo.."

Yeon Seok stares at her face. "Say that again.." he loves hearing that word from Sora. It gave him a sense of belonging.

"Yeon Seok shhi?"

Yeon Seok sneered. Sora like to tease him a lot. "You better say that again.." taking out his tickle weapon.

"Yaaaaa..." Sora runs away as Yeon Seok chase her and lift her up in the air.

Sora stares at him. "You always use your strength.. its unfair."

"Too bad then.." he smiled and spin her around.

"Ackkk!!" Sora grabbed Yeon Seok's shoulder. "Oppaaaaa... put me down!"

Yeon Seok's shakes his head as a sign of saying no and continue to spin her around.

"Oppa please.. Our baby can't take it.."

Yeon Seok stopped and looked at her eyes. "What did you just say?"

Sora slightly kiss his lips. "Aegi.."  she caresses his face. "Uri aegi.." she is 5 weeks pregnant now. Purposely hiding it to surprise Yeon Seok today. Their honeymoon gift.

Slowly Yeon Seok put his wife down and deeply stares into her eyes. "Kang Sora.." he was touched with the news. Its was the best news he ever heard. He hold her nape and kissed her passionately.

"I love you Kang Sora.." Yeon Seok keep her in his warm embrace. His beautiful wife and soon to be mother to his children.

Sora hugs him back. "I love you Yoo Yeon Seok.."

Bridesmaid - Chapter 18

"Kang Sora.." Yeon Seok grabbed her hand and stopped her from running away.

"Leave me alone.." she said it in a shaky tone, refuse to look at him. Its too embarrassing to face him now.

Yeon Seok turn to her and hold her face up seeing her eyes that is wet with tears. "Does it hurt a lot?" he wipe off her tears and caresses her cheek. Its turning red.

"I said leave me alone.." Sora brush off his hand.

He pulled her nearer. "Please.. don't push me away anymore.." holding her hand tightly. "Share your feeling at least with me, Kang Sora.."

Sora started to cry like a baby as she hears Yeon Seok's soothing voice. Its not the cheek, but it was her heart that hurt more. Her broken heart.

Yeon Seok attentively pull her to his embrace. "Cry all you want.. uri aegi.." he caresses her long hair. "Cry all you want my love.."

"How was it now?" Yeon Seok checked on Sora's cheek after putting some ice to reduce the swelling. After letting out her sadness for more than half an hour, Sora is calmer now. Much calmer.

Sora slowly nodded. "Its okay.." she replied. Though the sting from her father slap still lingers, but her heart doesn't feels as heavy as it is before.

"That's great then.." he caresses her cheek.

She weirdly looked at Yeon Seok. His behaviour towards her truly changed overnight. "Did anything happen?" She thought to herself. Trying to remember what happened last night. She closes her eyes and lay her head on the head rest of Yeon Seok car.

Yeon Seok pull her nearer to him so that she can rest her head on his shoulder instead.

Sora trying to pull her head but Yeon Seok insist. "Just rest on my shoulder Kang Sora.."

Sora silent as she just comply to him. Not in the mood to argue anymore.

"You haven't took your medicine today right?" Yeon Seok asked. Sora need to take her medicine daily to control her stress condition. Especially after what had just happened earlier. She needs to remain calm and manage her stress well.

Sora shakes her head. "Nope.." its not just her. Even Yeon Seok didn't have time to grab a meal at her house earlier after all those scene that happened.

"Lets join me for brunch then?" Yeon Seok starts his car and drive it to a coffee and cake shop in Yeouido.

Sora look out from the front car windshield as they stop. They are now in front of the restaurant that they are supposed to visit for cake tasting. "Why are we here?"

"We have a few task to settle today.." Yeon Seok look at her. "Lets have our brunch and take our time for the cake tasting.. If the time allows, later we will finish our dress fitting too.." he looked at her bride. "I wish to see you in that dress you've choosen yesterday.."

"That one?" Sora pointed out the one in the paper bag.

"The ivory one.. this one is too sexy for you to wear on our wedding day. Perhaps we can save it for our wedding night?" Yeon Seok winked.

"Yeon Seok shhi.." Sora looked at him. Weird with his behaviour. "What you're saying earlier... Do you really mean it?" She asked.

"Which one?"

"About bringing the marriage forward.."

Yeon Seok smiled. "Yes I do.. with all my heart.."

"Its not because you wanted to divorce me soonest?" Sora seems more calmer talking about it rather than yesterday.

Yeon Seok guiltyly looked at her. He sighed. "Don't ever bring that up again Kang Sora. I honestly never meant that." It hurts to hear her saying it now. It must be more hurt for her to hear him saying with all those faul words that he throws.

Sora took a deep breath to think it over. Seeing how he defended her in front of her father before makes her wanted to believe in his words now. "Don't you resented me after our breakup?" She asked.

"I hated you.. But that was before I know everything.."

"Everything?"

"About the agreement and its content.. Ho Jun had told me everything." he hold her hand. "Kang Sora, I'm sorry for being too mean before.. I'm truly sorry for hurting your feelings.."

Her tears falls down again. God knows how much they suffers to reach to this point. 

"Syhhh..." Yeon Seok wipe off her tears and pull her to his warm embrace. "You're getting too sensitive lately.."

"All thanks to you.."

Yeon Seok smiled out of relieve. "Let's not keep secrets from each other anymore.. even after we got married.."

Sora let herself go from Yeon Seok's embrace and teasingly look at him. "Who says I agree to marry you?"

Yeon Seok smirked. "I knew you would say that.." he lifted her right hand showing the ringfinger that's wearing their real engagement ring.

Sora got surprised. "When did you put it there??"

"Just now.. You can't take it off without my permission anymore okay?" He warns.

"You must be kidding me.. I never agrees to this.." she tried to pull it off but somehow the ring stuck on her fingers. "Eh??"

"See. You can't pull it off anymore.." Yeon Seok naughtily giggled.  "You've gained some weight don't you?"

"Yeon Seok shhi!" She's still trying to pull it off. "You changed the size right?"

Yeon Seok smiled as he get off the car and walk to passenger's side. "Let's go.." he grasp her hand, walking into the store together. Lot of tasks awaiting them starting today. 

Bridesmaid - Chapter 17

Sora is trying to pull herself awake, but her body is telling her otherwise. Her brain is too heavy to stay awake. She lean her head against her back and trying to relax a bit. Taking a look at her surrounding, couldn't understand why she's here. Seems like her brain is driving her to do things that she doesn't want. 

She realizes that she is sleeping Yeon Seok's room. Yeon Seok's house. But he doesn't seems to be anywhere near there. Slowly she get up from the bed, taking a peek to the living room. "Perhaps he's not home.." The house seems quite. 

Sora looked at the wedding dress that she's still wearing from yesterday. She sighed. "I must have lost my mind.. seriously.." She can't explain why is she came to Yeon Seok house after all the tears that she shed. She can't remember any event that happened after she run away from Yeon Seok. Nothing.

Slowly she walk heading to the door.

"Where are you going?" Ask Yeon Seok seeing Sora who is walking silently like a thief.

She stopped. Seems that Yeon Seok was at home all this while. She bit her lips. "Sorry, I must came here unintentionally.." She turned to him.

Yeon Seok walked towards her. "Do you still missed this place?" Softly asking her.

"I was drunk.."

Yeon Seok smiled. He knew that when he found Sora on the floor last night. Her whole body are filled with the smell of alcohol. He looked at her still looking pretty in that wedding dress despite her messy hair. "At least get a bath before you go.."

Sora looked at Yeon Seok. Weird. There's no more arrogance nor annoyance in his tone. He seems nicer than yesterday. "What's wrong with you?"

Yeon Seok smiled. "Do I need a reason to treat my fiancee well?"

Sora sneered. "Fiancee my foot. Did your mom got mad at you? That's why you are behaving this way?" Something must have happen to change the way he treated her.

"Nobody can control how I should behave.."

Sora looked at him. "You must be kidding me.. You didn't like the marriage at the first place." Sora refuse to believe the reason for Yeon Seok to suddenly treating her nicely.

"I never say I didn't like our marriage.." Yeon Seok move closer to her and fix her hair.

Sora brush off his hand and sharply glares at him. "You must have forgotten Yoo Yeon Seok shhi.. You have the intention to divorce me.." She's trying to hold her anger, trying hard to hold back her tears. "What is it that I've done to deserve being treated like this?" Eventually her tears falls down again.

"Kang Sora.." Yeon Seok speechless His words must have broke her heart to pieces. He can't find a better word to conceal the mistake that he had done.

Sora wipe off her tears. "Let's just stop this.. I really don't care anymore.." she pulled up her dress and walk to the door.

"I'm sorry.." Yeon Seok trying to stop her.

Sora ignored him.

"I said I'm sorry.. for using such harsh word towards you. I'm sorry.." Yeon Seok stand in front of the door, blocking her from exiting the house. "I still love you Kang Sora..."

Sora sharply glares at him. "How can a person changed overnight?" She's amused with his acting capability.

"I know you're still mad, but please believe in me.." Yeon Seok hold her hands and looking straight to her eyes.

She's push him off from blocking but he's strong in maintaining his position. "I need to go!"

Yeon Seok hold her hands back. "Kang Sora.. Do you still love me?"

"I don't.." she was fast in replying it. Without any hesitation.

Yeon Seok looked at her. "You're just saying that out of anger isn't it?"

"I need to go back.. my family would be worried.." she's changing the topic.

"I'm also worried about you.. Do you know how worried I am when you abruptly run away like yesterday?" Yeon Seok sighed looking at Sora keep ignoring him. This must be how she's been feeling when he did that to her.

"Let me send you home. I need to meet your family too." He offers.

Sora closes her eyes as she started to feels annoyed with this situation. "You don't have to do that.." She said. 

"Give me at least another chance to apologize for what had happened yesterday.."

She sneered. Obviously Yeon Seok changed his behaviour because of his family. "You don't have to.. I won't blame you. Don't worry.." she said to him. 

"Lets go.." Yeon Seok put a blazer on her shoulder to cover her open shoulder and grabbed her hand heading to his car.

"Ya Yoo Yeon Seok!"

"Kang Sora.. where have you been?" Grandma walks to her granddaughter who just entered the house. She's been worried the whole night when nobody can actually get in contact with her.

Il Sun looked at the man who is following Sora from behind. "Yoo Yeon Seok shhi.. I apologize for my granddaughter's behavior.."

"No grandma.. I was wrong. We have some disagreement yesterday and I can't control my anger." Yeon Seok replied. 

"That come out of nowhere.." Sora whispered to herself as she sneered over Yeon Seok's behavior. She cross her hands amused looking at his amazing acting skills.

Il Sun top Yeon Seok's hand. "Its normal for young people like you to quarrel once in a while.." She looked at Sora. "Stop running away from problem Kang Sora.. You're going to be somebody's wife soon.." advised Il Sun. She knows how Sora always reacted when she faces a dead end. When something is not in accordance to her liking. She knew she spoils her granddaughter for too much.

"Sora.." Ho Jun come to Sora before she was able to talk back to her grandmother. "Are you okay?" He can smell strong alcohol from her.

Sora nodded as she sharply stares at Yeon Seok walking side by side with grandma heading to the living room as well. Somehow she feels disgusted seeing him now. 

"Yoo Yeon Seok shhi, I truly apologize for not being able to teach my daughter properly.." Kang Tae Yoon apologized to his future son in law.

Sora looked at her dad. "So now I've become the black sheep of the family isn't it?"

"Sora.." Hye Ri tried to stop her from arguing. She knows things going to get awry once Sora set to it. "Let's get yourself cleaned up.." she pulled Sora to her room.

After a while, Sora and Hye Ri came down bringing over the wedding dress that she's wearing yesterday.

"You may return the dress to the shop later.." Sora put the paper bag in front of Yeon Seok. Not even taking a glance at him.

"You can go back there together.. I heard you haven't finish selecting your dress?" Grandma ask. Looking at her granddaughter, seems like their quarrel still doesn't end. Perhaps by spending more time together would help improve their relationship.

Han Ye Seul looked at her mother in law. "Yeon Seok shhi didn't like the dress that she's wearing earlier. Its too exposed.."

Sora sharply stares at her stepmom. She smirk. "You.."

Yeon Seok hold her hands, trying to stop her from starts arguing with her stepmom. "I'm also planning to go there with just her today.. We have a lot to be discussed about.."

Sora looked at him. Trying to understand his body language. "Do we?" She pulled her hand from his.

Yeon Seok trying to give him some eye signs.

"Ahh.. that don't have to wait..we can just tell grandma now.." Sora replied.

Yeon Seok lean nearer to Sora. "What are you trying to say?" He whispered to her.

"What is it that you want to tell me?" Il Sun looked at them. Smiled. Considering they just got to know each other a month ago, it seems like both of them started to get close to each other after the bickering. That's always how a relationship starts to get interesting. She thought to herself.

"Grandma.. We.."

Yeon Seok grabbed her hand again.. "We want to bring forward our wedding"

"Ya!" Sora trying to pull her hand.

Yeon Seok tighten his grasp. "I've thought about this last night. I want to speed it up.. Things is getting busier in the company and my family might not be able to join the wedding if the preparation is taking too much time."

Grandma smiled as she nodded agreeing. Empire has started to become busy too lately. Thanks to her granddaughter wedding announcement, their market share seems to improved a lot lately.

Sora got dumbfounded for a few second. What did Yeon Seok just done. She can't take it back seeing Il Sun excitingly agreed to it.

"Mother isn't well either to wait for the wedding.. This would be perfect.." Ye Seul trying to support the idea.

Sora annoyingly looked at her stepmom. "Are you kidding me? Grandma is still healthy. How dare you wish for her to get sick??? "

"Kang Sora!" Kang Tae Yoon slaps her face.

"Father!" Yeon Seok looked at his father in law and thenhe looked at Sora. "Are you okay?" He caresses her cheek that's started to turn red.

Sora stares at Tae Yoon. "Your doing great Mr. Kang Tae Yoon.. The real you has come out!" She storm out of the house.

"What are you doing Kang Tae Yoon?!" Il Sun hit her son's shoulder. She looked at Ye Seul. "Refrain from saying anything in front of Sora anymore.." she said to her daughter in law. It's not that she wasn't to drive her away from Sora. But she needs to make sure her granddaughter feeling is being taken care off especially when she had sacrificed a lot for her and their family.

"I'm sorry omonim.." Ye Seul apologized for being insensitive with Sora's feeling. Seems like she still need to learn a lot to tackle Sora.

Il Sun sighed. She needs to take some counter measure in handling Sora. "Hye Ri, you'll be in charge of Sora's wedding from now on.."

"Ehhh?" Hye Ri looked at Il Sun surprised. She turned to Ho Jun who has been sitting next to her. Nodding his head giving her strength that she can manage it well.

"Omonim!" Tae Yoon looked at his mom. Frustrated with Il Sun's decision. It would make it harder for them to win over Sora if she's tackling it this way.

Il Sun look at her son. "What else I can do to help your relationship with her get better Kang Tae Yoon? Everyday it seems that you drove her further away instead.."

Kang Tae Yoon silent. What Il Sun said is somehow true. Perhaps their relationship will forever be in despair. Tae Yoon sighed.

Bridesmaid - Chapter 16

"Did you see that person?" An ahjumma is looking at an elegance woman in her maroon frilled assymmetrical dress.

"Isn't that the heiress from Empire group?" another ahjumma replied.

"Yes.. She’s getting married with the heir from WooJin group isn't it?"

"Yes.. That come out in the news."

Sora smiled hearing to their conversation. Seems that their wedding has been the talk of the town now.

"You've been here for a while?" Yeon Seok arrived wearing a simple white shirt and black pants accompanied with a black and gold sunglass by Giorgio Armani.

"Ya... that's the man right? I'm so jealous with them. Young and rich. Both looks pretty with each other..." They look at them in an awe. "Chaebols are surely live in a different world...”

"Eyy... come on... that's definitely a mere merger and acquisitions. Do you think they got married because they love each other?"

Sora turned her face to them, trying to smile with those words. Its hurt somehow. It’s true that their marriage is for business purpose. But they also love each other. Or to be exact, she loves him.

Yeon Seok ignores the conversation. He's been hearing it everywhere he goes. Even among his staff. He can't do anything to stop that.

"What time is your appointment?" He asked to distract Sora's attention from being drawn into those unimportant passerby conversations. He promised Ho Jun to accompany Sora for her appointment with psychologist today. She has been regularly seeing the psychologist for 3 weeks now.

"2pm. We have another 45 minutes. Want to grab some light lunch?" Sora asked. She haven't touch any meals with her full schedule today. Her stomach silently growl asking to be filled.

"I'm not hungry...” he replied.

"Arasso...” She had prepared herself for that answer. Yeon Seok had been treating her coldly even though they are officially engaged for a month now. She's getting used with that treatment somehow.

Sora call for the waiter and order a light lunch only for her. "Garden salad please...”

"That’s all miss?"

"Yes.." She nodded. Her appetite being suppressed with Yeon Seok's attitude just now.

Yeon Seok looked at her. No wonder she's getting thinner. "One macchiato for me...” he added to that order.

"Alright sir...”

Sora sips her Americano that she had ordered much earlier. "The dress fitting tomorrow evening... will you be joining?" She asked.

"No." Yeon Seok replied as his eyes are on his mobile screen. Checking nothing.

"You're busy?"

"Umm...” nonchalantly he replied.

"What about the cake testing on Thursday?" She asked again.

Yeon Seok shakes his head.

"You realized that our wedding is in 2 months’ time right?"

"I leave it all to my mother...”

Sora sighed. "I shouldn't have bothered to ask...” she said in passing as the orders arrived at their table.

Yeon Seok secretly looked at her. She seems a bit frustrated. He would have not acted this way if they were how they used to be before. His ego is too high to show whether he cares about the wedding.

Sora silently took a few bites of the salad. Not saying a word. She don't know how to fix their relationship if Yeon Seok didn't want to get involved in it. It feels like she's reaching a dead end somehow.

"Do you want some?" She offers him some of her salad. Trying not to give up.

"No...” replying in short sentences seems like Yeon Seok hobby nowadays.

Sora sighed feeling disheartened. She put aside her salad. Didn't feel like eating anymore. She sips a few of her Americano and looked at Yeon Seok. "Why do bother to accompany me today?"

"Ho Jun is asking me to...”

"If he doesn't then you won't?"

"Yup...” he replied without any second thoughts.

Sora sneered. "I guess I'm really a nobody to you now...” she got up from her chair. ”Don't be burdened Yoo Yeon Seok Shhi.. I can go there alone." Without thinking twice, she took her steps and walk away. As much as she wanted to get their relationship better, she still have her dignity. Perhaps it’s time for her to give up.

Yeon Seok looked at her heading to the street. She just ate around 3 bites and now the salad are left untouched. He bit his lips. He's going to be blamed if she falls sick again. He got up from his seat and run for her.

Yeon Seok grabbed her hand. "I'll send you there...”

"It’s okay.." she's trying to pull her hand but Yeon Seok is holding it tight.

Yeon Seok lean nearer to her. "We're in public and people are watching." They are a public figure now. They can't recklessly act in accordance to their feeling. Eyes are watching them everywhere.

Sora looked at her surroundings. Slowly she nodded. "Arasso.." obediently she follows Yeon Seok to his car. 

She stares at his hand that is still holding hers. She tighten her grasp. It’s been a while since she felt this secured. It makes her feels content somehow.

Sora looked at the dress that is presented to her one by one, but she doesn't pay serious attention to it. It’s either the dress here are too boring or she is not in the mood to choose one.

"What about this one?" She picked a sexy V neck chiffon shirred halter strap wedding dress with beaded bust and double braided waist by Allure Bridal.

"Isn't it too sexy?" Han Ye Seul, her step mom asked. For her, its seems to be showing too much skin.

"I think it’s a nice choice...” Lee Young Ae, Yoo Yeon Seok's mother is agreeing to her choice. She's a bit open minded with the dress selection especially when Sora is having a great body for it.

"I'll try this one then.." She entered the changing room, ignoring her stepmom's comment.

"The bride is coming out.." After a few while, Sora is ready to show the dress that she wore on her body.

Sora walked to the lobby of the two floored wedding dress shop, beautifully styling the dress that she's wearing.

"Yeon Seok Shhi.. I thought you can't make it today?" Sora surprised seeing Yeon Seok is in front of her now, standing besides his mom.

"I asked him to come.." Young Ae replied. "Choosing a dress for the wedding is important for any woman. No groom should skip this event." She added.

Sora smiled to her. Thanking her future mother in law for the effort.

"How is it?" Sora asked. Turning around a little to show them the details of the dress.

Yeon Seok looked at her top to toe. It’s undeniable that she looks pretty in those elegance dress. Her body will definitely kill any kind of dress that she's wearing. Especially this one.

"My daughter in law looks really pretty.." Young Ae come nearer, asking her to turnaround a little bit more so she could see it once again. "I'm liking this one.." She said it to Ye Seul and Yeon Seok. Looking for an agreement from them.

"I don't.." Yeon Seok replied. "It’s too flashy.." The V neck would be nice if it’s only for him. He would not want to share it with others.

"Eyy.. You're too conservative!" Young Ae gently hit her son's shoulder.

"I'll try another one then.." Sora said as she walk up the stairs heading to the changing room again. Yeon Seok's opinion is what matters the most to her. At least he's saying his opinion today. She smiled.

Young Ae looked at her son. "Go and try yours too.." She said.

"Mom.. I'm busy today!" He didn't want to come here at the first place. But his mom is threatening him. His mom really good at it.

"You're already here anyway.." She pushed him to walk up the stairs, following Sora.

"Ehem.." Yeon Seok look at Sora who is still choosing for a new dress that she's going to try next.

Sora looked at him. "Thank you for coming.." She said. Though it could be by force, the fact that he's here now already makes her heart fluttered for a moment.

"I came just because of my mother asked me to.." He replied.

"Ae.." Sora nodded. She expected that answer. Somehow Yeon Seok is trying hard to maintain his bad guy image. She smirked to herself.

Sora continue to focus her eyes on those hundreds of dresses again. This time around she carefully choose for one. "What about this one?" She showed an ivory romantic luxe organza gown features with flowers on one shoulder and a draped, multi-tiered skirt with flowers flowing into a chapel train by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.

Yeon Seok looked at the dress and compares it with an ivory tuxedo by Bvlgari that he holds. "Just choose any one of it. It's not like this marriage going to last long.."

Sora looked at him surprised with his replies. "What did you just said?"

Yeon Seok looked at her. "Did I say something wrong? Do you hope for our wedding to last forever?"

Sora sharply stares at him. This time Yeon Seok is really pushing for too much.

Yeon Seok smirked. "Be real Kang Sora.. You could be asking for a divorce in a month or two.. Just like how you asked for breakup before. You wouldn't expect for our wedding to last isn't it?"

Pang! A hard slap went to his cheek. "I broke up with you so that I can protect my dead grandfather's wish. Even if the one I'm marrying is not you, I will try to protect the marriage all I can.. I will try to love with all my heart" She cried.

"Sora.." he's speechless with Sora's sudden burst in emotion.

"I misjudged you Yoo Yeon Seok Shhi. I thought I can still save our relationship. But I guess, this is it for us.." Sora walked to door.

"Kang Sora!" Yeon Seok stopped her. "Our moms are downstairs.."

"I'm not going to proceed with this wedding anyway. I'm done!" Sora brushed away his hand.

"Sora-ya, what's wrong?" Han Ye Seul looked at her stepdaughter running down the stairs still wearing the dress that she wore before.

Sora ignores Ye Seul and run to her car with tears that continue to falls on her cheek.

"Kang Sora!!" Yeon Seok tried to chase her but she was fast leaving the building with her Audi R8.

"Yoo Yeon Seok! What had happened?" Asked his mom who just come back from the washroom. "I just left for a few minutes. What have you done?!" Young Ae look at Yeon Seok, frustrated.

Yeon Seok looked at Lee Young Ae and Han Ye Seul, slightly bowed to them before he run for his car to look for Sora.

"Kang Sora where are you?" Yeon Seok looked at his watch, it's almost 7pm. For more than 2 hours he's been trying to trace for Sora. With hundreds of attempts to call and locate her, Sora is still nowhere to find. "Please Sora.. where are you.." He started to get worried. 

He bit his lips looking at his phone, thinking whether to make a call to Ho Jun.

"Ho Jun, where are you?" Finally he called him.

"I expected you to call me earlier.." Ho Jun blunt. "Sora is missing isn't it?"

"Eo.. Her stepmom has told you?"

"Eo.." He's silent for a moment. "What had happened?" He asked. Wanted to hear Yeon Seok's explanation before he jumped into any kind of conclusion.

"Just some quarrel.."

"I don't think is just 'some' quarrel? She had been so determined to fix your relationship before.. Sora would never give up that easily even after your trashy treatment.."

Yeon Seok silent for a while. It is true that he's been behaving like a trash to Sora lately. "I've said something that I shouldn't.."

Ho Jun sighed. "Yeon Seok ah.. I know this will happen.." He stopped. "Do you think Sora wanted to breakup with you? She's totally against it at first. She fought to protect the relationship. But your grandfather had a legally bonded agreement on marrying his first grandson with our grandfather's first granddaughter."

"How does that explains the reason for our breakup? She could just say no.." Yeon Seok still could not accept the reason.

"The intention of the agreement is for a merger and acquisition between two company. If any of the party choose to void it, and in this case Empire, we need to let go 50% of our group company share. Both WooJin and Empire is not in a good financial state lately and you knew it well too. Sora was made to choose between two choices. She needs to choose between you or our grandfather legacy." Ho Jun explains in length.

Yeon Seok went silent. That explains why she mentioned about her grandfather wish earlier. He had done a lot of things that broke her heart. "Ho Jun ah.. I don't think she would be able to forgive me anymore.." He screwed big time.

"She's been trying to be patient all this while.. But you've went overboard Yoo Yeon Seok.."

"I know.. I need to find her.." He started to feel restless. With all those explanation, it makes him feels more worst.

"I know where she is.."

"You are?"

"I've installed GPS tracker on all of her cars after she's been falling sick lately.. Just in case.."

Yeon Seok is clearing his throat. That protective older brother is really something.

"I know.. It’s not right. Do you want to know her location or not?"

"Of course! Send it to my phone now.."

Ho Jun sneered. "Okay.." Ho Jun paused. "If you ever hurt her again, I will kill you for real. This is the last chance I'm giving to you.."

"I promised.." Yeon Seok replied.

"Make sure you bring her home safely Yoo Yeon Seok.." Ho Jun reminded. "I'm counting on you.."

"Arasso.." He replied before hanging up the phone conversation.

He then open the location that was given by Ho Jun. "My house?"
